Lake Monger

One of Perth’s most delightful parklands, Lake Monger is home to the famous black swan - and located just a 5-minute walk away.

You can see black swans and many other water birds that exist on the lake, thanks to the creation of a special breeding island. Here, native plants allow the swans to live in their natural environment. You can learn more about the birdlife at Lake Monger at the special interpretive displays and boardwalks.

The lake is surrounded by spacious lawns and a walk and cycle path, making it popular among locals who go walking, jogging and cycling at all times of the day. It’s also the perfect place for a picnic.
