‘Provisional’ Reservation
A reservation remains as ‘provisional’ until Beatty Lodge has received payment of the first night’s occupancy fee or an online deposit has been made. Only after receiving the first night occupancy fee or online deposit the reservation becomes subject to our terms and conditions, including the cancellation policy. Beatty Lodge reserves the right to cancel any ‘provisional’ reservation, at any time and without reason or recourse.
Prerequisites for Occupancy
(1) All guests are required to check-in between 11:00am and 2:00am on the day / evening of the first bed night.
(2) All guests must complete and sign a guest registration form, stating that he/she has read, understands and will abide by these Terms of Occupancy.
(3) All guests will be required to provide a valid passport, Australian Driver’s Licence or Australian Proof of Age card at check-in, which maybe copied and kept on record.
(4) All guests are required to pay a compulsory $20.00 check-in deposit as security against key and any penalties outlined in this Terms of Occupancy Agreement.
(5) All outstanding fees for accommodation of seven (7) days or less must be paid in full at check-in on arrival date of the booking. Occupancy extending beyond 7 days requires payment to be weekly (see section ‘late occupancy fee payment’).
PLEASE NOTE: At the discretion of Beatty Lodge reception staff and/or management, failure to meet the above five (5) prerequisites in any form will deem occupancy not possible and fees / charges may apply, as subject to the cancellation policy.
Length Of Stay
Beatty Lodge is a short-term accommodation provider and the maximum length of stay under the lodging guidelines is 14 days.
Check-in / Check-out
Checkout time is before 10.00 a.m. on the date of departure. Please note, reception is open daily between the hours of 8:00am and 2:00am. Any unauthorised checkout after 10:00am on the day of departure will incur an additional nights accommodation fee. Any guest checking out at a time when reception is not open are required to see reception during opening hours on the day prior to departure to collect the deposit refund and be instructed on our after hours checking out procedure. Please drop room key through security grill at reception desk when departing at a time reception is not open.
Late Occupancy Fee Payment
Any late occupancy fee payment will incur an additional late payment fee of $10 per person, for the number of days late. A guest’s weekly payment is due before 10am of the next unpaid bed night. Please note, late payment of occupancy fees is considered a breach of this agreement and may result in the forfeit of your reservation, requiring immediate vacation of the premises.
Lost or Unreturned Keys
Any lost or unreturned keys will incur a charge of $20.00 per set of keys.
Use of Personal Sleeping Gear is NOT Allowed
Use of personal sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, linen or any similar items is not allowed at Beatty Lodge. Sleeping bags are to be kept at reception until departure date. Any personal sleeping gear being used within the lodge may be removed from the room and stored until the guest’s departure date. Failure to abide by this regulation may result in immediate eviction and no refund or monies paid.
Food Items are NOT to be Consumed or Stored in Rooms
Due to regulations, food is not to be consumed or stored in rooms. Failure to abide by this regulation will result in food being removed and disposed of. Additionally, offending guests may be evicted with no refund or monies paid.
Room Cleanliness
Guests are responsible for ensuring belongings are kept in a tidy manner to minimise items being left on the room floor, allowing easy access into the room and beds. Due to regulations, clothes are not to be hung in the rooms for drying purposes. At the discretion of Beatty Lodge housekeeping staff, reception staff and / or management, room inspections may take place at any time they deemed necessary. Please note, any additional cleaning expenses incurred as a direct result of a guest’s actions or behaviour will be charged to the offending guest(s) and any unpaid additional charges will result in immediate eviction with no refund or monies paid.
Non-Paying Guests / Visitors
For security reason, visitors (non-paying guests) are not permitted in any dormitory or shared rooms at any time or for any reason. Should any guest or group be found to have non-paying guests staying in their room(s), the guest or group shall be charged for the extra person(s), plus additional administration charges, and this agreement may be, at the management’s discretion, terminated resulting in eviction with no refund of monies paid. Visitors are allowed to be on the premises, however guests will be held responsible and take full responsibility of visitor(s), their behaviour and actions. No visitors are allowed on the premises between the hours of 11:00pm – 8:00am.
Unruly / Unsociable Behaviour
Should a guest or visitors of a guest become unruly in any manner, resulting in complaints or, at management’s discretion, disturbing other guests, Beatty Lodge retains the right to terminate this agreement resulting in eviction with no refund of monies paid. Please note that we have a zero tolerance policy towards antisocial behaviour, no second chances will be given.
Failure to Follow Staff Instructions
Guests who fail to follow instructions of any Beatty Lodge staff member may be evicted and/or refused accommodation without refund or monies paid. If a guest feels the instructions given by a staff member are not possible, inappropriate or unfair a time can be arranged through reception to speak with the General Manager on the subject.
Smoking, Alcohol, Pets and Illegal Substances
All areas within Beatty Lodge buildings are strictly no smoking and no pets allowed. Smoking within the buildings, is a serious offence and will be treated as such, resulting in the eviction of anyone breaking this regulation. Alcohol consumption is allowed by persons 18 years or older and only within the alfresco area (until 11pm daily) or the dining room. Antisocial behaviour of intoxicated guests or visitors will not be tolerated and will result in immediate eviction with no refund monies paid. No illegal substances will be tolerated in any way and will result in immediate eviction with no refunds or monies paid, and possible prosecution of the offending party.
Payments
Methods of payment: Cash (Australian Dollars Only), Credit Card, EFTPOS, Cheque (with prior authorisation)
Credit/Debit Cards accepted: Visa, MasterCard, Australian Bank Card (EFTPOS)
PLEASE NOTE: AMEX and Diner’s Club will incur an additional charge of up to 15%. Cheques are NOT accepted as a method of payment unless pre-approval with management has been arranged
Cancellations Policy
Reservation Cancellation
The full amount for the first nights stay will be retained or charged to the provided credit card by Beatty Lodge for any reservation cancellation.
Non-Arrival
Should any guest not show up on the booked date of arrival or are unable to check-in due to arriving after the designated check-in time, Beatty Lodge will retain the amount for the first night’s stay or charge for the full amount of the first night’s accommodation, using the provided credit card.
Shortening of Stay
Should a guest, for any reason, wish to shorten their stay, please advise us as soon as possible. To receive a refund of bed nights when shortening your stay, notification of the earlier departure date must be made by 10am of the day prior to the new departure date. Should you notify reception after this time; an extra full night’s occupancy fee will be charged. Weekly rates are not refundable regardless of notification of an earlier departure date.
Extending a reservation is subject to availability. Only nights that have been paid are guaranteed. Guests should speak with reception as soon as possible to avoid disappointed. Extension may not always be possible resulting in the requirement to checkout or change rooms.
